🎨 Art That Grows in FlyO’Land

Art that grows in FlyO’Land is our annual event that brings families together to explore environmental care and sustainable practices. Families can participate in hands-on activities such as making recycled paper, crafting plantable artworks, and experiencing our special device that detects how the plants generate music.

Through this event, we want to remind people to recognize overlooked recyclable items that are often discarded. We want to show how creativity can turn them into reusable materials, giving them new life. Our small changes and simple ideas can make a meaningful contribution to our planet.

Participants can use our colourful ink pads to stamp various patterns on plantable recycled paper. They can also draw with stamps and create mini cards. All paper is plantable.

Plant Music Interaction

Discover how plants “play” music in this interactive zone. Our special device translates plant signals into sound and melodies, allowing you to explore how science reveals the invisible ways plants sense. It’s a fun and unique way to connect with nature and the hidden life of plants.

Seeds of Life

IMG_7926.jpg

The Vancouver community gardens generously donated over 30 varieties of seeds. We’ll use images and displays to show how these seeds sprout and grow into vegetables and flowers, and explain why these plants are important to our lives. We’ll also share some invasive plants that affect our community environment.
